Introducing

MIRBOO AND DISTRICT HISTORICAL SOCIETY INC

 

About the Society

The aim of the Society is to stimulate our community’s interest in the economic, social, cultural and environmental history and heritage of Mirboo North and District.

1. To provide a place where printed materials, photographs, publications and other small objects which have significance to the history and heritage of Mirboo North and surrounds can be collected, studied, preserved and displayed.

2. To encourage the study, collection, preservation and exhibition of both historical and significant contemporary objects (principally printed materials) pertaining particularly to Mirboo North and its environs.

3. To make available these materials and objects to the public for study and enjoyment.

4. To inform and educate the public through activities such as research, publications, talks, workshops, displays and our ‘facebook’ page.

5. To co-operate with like organisations in activities which promote history and/or heritage to our mutual benefit.
